Not sold on the iPhone 4S.

I think it was pretty clear, based on my expectations here, that not just me but many people had high expectations of the newest version of the iPhone.  I know we have begun to expect the impossible from Apple simply because they have a knack for giving us what we want and that’s part of the problem but sometimes, just sometimes, they miss even our minimum levels of what we expect, and I believe this is one of those times.  I guess the rumor mill that started the whole iPhone 4S talk back about 6 months ago was in the know and it just disappoints me to great lengths that after 16 months of the iPhone 4 being released, all we really got was a Samsung Galaxy S 2.  (Heheheh…)

Granted the 8MB camera is a noted improvement and the dual core A5 processor will speed the phone up considerably, but I didn’t want ‘considerably’ I wanted out of this freaking world!  Realistically, I knew this would be more about the iCloud and touting the new dual Core A5 chip then anything else, but the Apple Fanboi in me wanted to believe in something else.  I really thought we would get 3D screens and 3D camera’s and possibly Quad Core technology.  But I guess they are saving that all for the iPhone 5.

Here’s the Apple website so you can see and experience the new features for yourself, but I’m just going to stick with my current phone, oh yeah that reminds me, T-Mobile and Wind/Mobilicity customers got screwed too.  I guess we will have to pin our hopes on the iPhone 5.  Just don’t expect me to hold my breath on that.  (well maybe just a little)

About Raj Randev

I like to use technology to help me waste time, if by chance it helps with anything useful, that was just dumb luck!

  1. I agree we got screwed, and prices starting from $649, give me a break.

    • I know I’m being harsh, but with options better then the iPhone 4s out there, and slightly creditable rumors that the next series of Android phones, particularly those from HTC and Samsung boasting Quad Core technology, and along with two year contract extensions for those that can’t afford or won’t buy it outright, I’m not sure what the point of this phone is, when the iPhone 5 may be just 6-9 months ahead. But when I say ‘I’m not sure what the point of this phone is,’ I really do, its something to make them money while they develop something better and wait for the price of that technology to go down. (Oh yeah, the coveted self quote!)
